The Mirador El Cerro de los Siete, located in the El Peñón area, was formed thousands of years ago by the erosion of limestone rocks that left a formation of seven peaks. Since pre-Columbian times, the Taínos used this vantage point to watch the sea and vegetation, considering it sacred. Today, the lookout remains a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike, who come for the panoramic Caribbean views and the campesino culture that surrounds the town.
