History
This hill gets its name from the eagles that once nested on its crags. For generations it served as a natural lookout to watch over the coastline and the sugarcane fields. Today it’s the iconic viewpoint of El Peñón: from up here you can see the bay, the mouth of the Yuna River, and the Samaná horizon. A short climb for a view you’ll never forget.
