History
It originates in Loma de El Limón, deep in the heart of the Sierra de Neiba, where the Limón River plunges in free fall through coffee plantations and cloud forest. For generations, families from Estebanía and La Loma hiked up on foot or mule to fetch fresh water and 'wash the soul' in its pools. Today, local guides maintain the trail and share the legend of the 'guardian duende' (a mischievous forest spirit) who protects the falls, keeping the campesino connection to the mountain alive.
