History

Fed by the Limón River at Loma de la Joya, this waterfall has sheltered campesinos and served as a charcoal-makers' route for generations. Its name nods to the cascade's shape and the abundance of native limonero (wild lime) trees along the banks. Today, local guides from Estebanía maintain the trail and share the oral history of this hidden natural swimming spot tucked away in the Cordillera Central.
