Guaymate
Guaymate is a municipality in La Romana province in eastern Dominican Republic, known for agricultural production in the fertile eastern plains and as a cornerstone community in the sugar-cane region that defined eastern Dominican economy throughout the 20th century. Sugar cane fields alternate with citrus and other tropical plantations. This hardworking community carries the proud identity of eastern agricultural municipalities, with culture shaped by generations of agricultural-industrial heritage.
