History
Fed by the Yagüita stream as it descends from Loma de Las Guáranas, the falls create natural rock pools. Campesinos once used the water for laundry and to cool off after working the conuco (small family farm). Today, it’s the town’s go-to swimming hole: whole families show up on Sundays to cook sancocho (hearty stew) on the banks and catch a 'chin' (quick dip) of cold water under the curtain of the cascade.
