History
A karst cavity in La Loma, formed by the dissolution of Cibao limestone. Ancestral refuge of the Taíno and later of cimarrones (escaped enslaved people). Its name comes from a large rock at the entrance. Today it's a hiking and local historical memory site, cared for by the Las Guáranas community.
