History
Playa El Caño sits where the Yuna River kisses the Atlantic, forming a natural channel (caño) that gives the beach its name. Fishermen from Las Guáranas and nearby communities have used it forever as a shelter and workspace. Its golden sand and calm waters, protected by the inlet, turned it into the go-to Sunday escape for families from the northeast, keeping alive the tradition of a 'river-and-sea bath at the same time' — all without any formal tourist infrastructure.
