History
A karst cavity in the Sierra de Neiba once used as shelter and ceremonial space by pre-Taíno indigenous peoples. Its name comes from the wild goats (chivos cimarrones) that took refuge there. Today it’s an adventure tourism and spelunking site with rock formations and bats, looked after by local guides from Las Matas.
