History
This natural lookout in the La Cueva del Agua sector takes its name from the coastal mangrove (manglar) spreading at its feet and the rocky peak crowning the hill. It has long served as a reference point for Paraíso fishermen scanning the sea and weather. Today it's a must-stop for sunset over Bahía de Neiba and the Sierra de Bahoruco, framing mangrove, sea, and mountains in a single sweeping view.
